About TOB TOB

Colombian project conformed by Richard Arnedo (La Makina del Karibe) and Dragao (Papaya Republik, Dragao Style) two experienced musicians within the great frame of the throbbing and boiling South American electropical scene.

Their musical proposal is an evocation to the force and the ancestral spirit, which extends all over the world uniting parts of the same figure that shines through time and space in the form of drum beats.

TOB TOB is a mix of techno, house, yoruba music, Colombian folklore, funk, high life and a pinch of champeta.

The trance provoked by the frenetic Afro-Latin percussions, oscillators and rhythm boxes far from the song format, is progressively spread as these two musical monsters join forces live to recreate the universal heartbeat, the ancient, blind and all-powerful legacy of dance

Proyecto colombiano conformado por Richard Arnedo (La Makina del Karibe) y Dragao (Papaya Republik, Dragao Style) dos músicos experimentados dentro del gran marco de la palpitante y bullente escena electropical suramericana.

Su propuesta musical es una evocación a la fuerza y el espíritu ancestral, que se extiende por todo el mundo uniendo partes de una misma figura que brilla a través del tiempo y el espacio en forma de golpes de tambor.

TOB TOB es una mezcla de techno, house, música yoruba, folclore colombiano, funk, high life y una pizca de champeta.

El trance provocado por las frenéticas percusiones afrolatinas, osciladores y cajas de ritmos alejados del formato canción, se contagia progresivamente mientras estos dos monstruos musicales unen sus fuerzas en vivo para recrear el latido universal, el legado antiquísimo, ciego y todopoderoso del baile.
